For smaller accounts, under $200,000 or $300,000, day trading might work well. But if you’re managing larger sums—$5 million, or even $80 to $100 million—day trading becomes impractical. Moving that kind of money requires spreading it across trades, which day trading doesn’t support.
Also, consider the skills involved. Day trading has a lower barrier to entry, making it accessible for beginners, while options trading requires more advanced knowledge. Understanding your portfolio size and expertise is key to making the right choice.
